Due to limited snow at Soldier Hollow, the first Wasatch Citizens Series race has been moved to White Pine. (What a difference a week makes!) It's a 10-kilometer classic technique race on White Pine's 5K golf course track. Shorter distances for youngsters, oldsters, and novices. Registration is from 8:30 to 9:30 in the lobby outside the shop. Younger juniors and sit skiers start at 10:00, and adults at about 10:20 after the kids have finished. Lunch will NOT be served.

On June 9 the TUNA van, stuffed with skiers and gear, took off from Salt Lake on an eleven hour journey to Bend, Oregon. TUNA’s Matt Johnson and University of Utah graduate Zoë Roy led the trip as coaches to the group of six TUNA comp skiers. I am sure that all who went on the trip would agree that we had a blast! From our activities ranging from skiing to cliff jumping to having dance parties in the kitchen, it was a very memorable trip.

The mornings would begin with a ski from the... read more

Believe it or not, it looks like there was a dusting of snow in the last day or so. There is complete coverage on the road, but challenging ski conditions. I will still be there tomorrow (Wed, Jan 4th) at 4:30. We can at least work on double pole and maybe some V1. If you have the opportunity to ski in a more optimal location, do it. Millcreek is the only... read more
