Fri, Mar 12 garyc Friday Morning Groom Report

Main, Mitten, Lolipop and Lower to Cullen's Cutoff nicely groomed for skating. Two areas of bare asphalt on Lolipop approach but loop is holding up well. Didn't attempt to set classic track given thin and frozen conditions. 9 to 10AM, firm and fast with a soft finish on top.

Only 2 more days of grooming so enjoy the weekend! Despite the snow year, the course is actually in much better shape than I remember it being this time last year. Gary

Wed, Mar 10 konradt Mountain Dell Better

Mountain Dell is skiing far better than Monday or Tuesday.

35 Degrees with occasional snow flake at noon Wednesday. Grooming was done some time in the last 24 hours. Firm snow cone conditions.

Lower to first cut off is in good shape. (groomed)
Lower to second cut off is in skiable shape (not groomed but well covered)
Lower to bottom should probably be called “closed” as it is not continuous and not any fun.
Creek bottom hill is bare on the far side.
Lollypop stick has a spot that is 96% bare across it. The head however is good skiing.
Main loop is in good shape except for one quickly thinning spot.
Mitten loop has pavement encroaching but is good skiing.

(Thanks to the grooming crew this year ~ best I’ve seen at mountain dell with less than ideal snow patterns.)

Sat, Feb 27 ald Friday night groom report

All trails except Wiggle, and the lower cut-offs groomed for skate and classic. Skiing in the morning should be great. If you are classic skiing it will be klister or mechanical bases. Temps just below freezing but there is a lot of moisture in the snow so structure and fluoro will see the best results. Rain is predicted for tomorrow afternoon so ski early and have a blast.
