We just want a inform you about our Cross Country Skiing condition at Solitude Nordic Center. We still have 110" base depth and 22" of new snow in the last 24 hours and more coming. We Have FANTASTIC Skate and Classic Track groomed today, about 20 km. Come up and enjoy all the fresh snow and beautiful conditions here at the Nordic Center.

All of Solitude Nordic Center terrain is now open. Come enjoy 17 km of groomed Classic and Skate Track.

Solitude Nordic Center Now Open For 2009/2010 Season.
Solitude Nordic Center has good news for all Cross Country Skiers in Utah. We just purchased a new groomer SNO MASTER 48, and we are promising our trails will be a lot better then past years. Now we can groom our trails daily even 2 times a day, on snowing conditions.
We groomed our trails 12/10/09 and are going to open 12/11/09. Trails available only Redmans (big, mid, little) access from Solitude Village.
Our day pass for 7 KM groomed trails cost $ 10 for full day and $ 7 for after 12:30 pm.

More good news, we are selling our used skis. Hurry and grab a pair of skis for a great pirce.

After Saturday's dump the skiing has been great for April (even February) at Solitude. Our groomers tiller has been out of action, but with zero ice and fresh snow that has not been too big of an issue. April 12th will be our last day. As part of Solitude's "Spring Stimulus" we are only charging $10 all day long rather than $15/$10 (Alpine is down to $39 ~ so why not do both! ~ I have been!) Konrad Thiel

There are still blue kickwax conditions, and very fast skate conditions at the Tude.

100% coverage.
Pinecones on the trails from the trees (Perhaps don't bring race skis)
Firm conditions good fast skiing for Solitude and no nasty ice spots to speak of.
All trails open (other than silver lake due to apparent hot spring melt).

The Solitude Nordic Center is now connected to the Redman Loops via Lake Flat, Cabin Fever, and Cornucopia. Updates soon on: New Sensation, Evergreen. Plus perhaps an enhanced Lake Flat to make up for the loss of Silver Lake. Konrad Thiel
