Stenquist and I beat the snowmobiles this morning and were amazed at how much snow there is at Daniels Summit - about 2 feet at the Lodge and 5-6 on Strawberry Ridge. |

Skied on Sat afternoon up the Snowbasin road and a quick loop around the trails at the top. Good coverage, classic track set although firm conditions probably better for skate. Skittery corduroy but not too icy to get an edge in. This is perhaps the first time I've had a classic track all season! |

Nils hit SR65 this morning. A bit of fresh, but questionable how it will bond to the firm surface for the first 1.5 miles. Furthur up it gets much better. Groomed to the second switchback. Some classic track set. Rerouted slightly for two moose on the road at the bathroom. |

I skated there last Wednesday (25th) and Sunday (29th), with low expectations but was impressed! Not all is open, but most is. Hats off to their groomers for securing a good solid base! |
