Ben Lomond Trail, North Fork Park

The trail provides outstanding views and scenery as well as outstanding geologic formations. Most of the rock is composed of quartzite.
On the trail you will find the remains of Bailey Cabin. Additionaly, there are fault lines running through the area. It takes most of one day to ski the trail for most people. The trail connects with the Skyline Trail approximately 2 miles south of Ben Lomond Peak. 9-1/2 miles from trailhead to Ben Lomond Peak 13 miles to Willard Basin 14 miles to North Ogden Divide.
Beginning Elevation: 5760 feet
End/Highest Elevation: 8010 feet
Directions:
Drive up Ogden or North Ogden Canyon to Ogden Valley. Turn north from Liberty to North Fork Park Campground. The trail begins from the horse corrals and proceeds to the saddle 2 miles south of Ben Lomond Peak.
