Hello TUNA,

You may notice that prices have slightly increased this season. The first increase in 8-10 years. We hope to make some investments as we continue to grow. Top proiority in the coming year or so is new uniforms and warm ups. As many of you have noticed, our current inventory is starting to show its age. Please bare with us through this season with the old uiforms.

Please review the information below carefully for winter registration as well as uniform and rentals:

• All registration is on-line only! We only need to see you at the rental day if you are picking up a uniform or if you are renting equipment (cash or check only for rentals). You must have registered prior to the rental day (05 November 2011).
• Register early, by 31 October 2011, and receive a free TUNA T-shirt for each junor participant.
• An active TUNA membership is required for all programs except the Learn to Ski Program.

• All TUNA progams are listed on the TUNA website at: www.utahnordic.com/programs
• Remember that TUNA is for the most part a volunteer organization and there are many ways that folks can volunteer. On the 5th we will have a station set up to help you choose where you can help the most. Volunteer ideas at: www.utahnordic.com/volunteer
• Junior programs include a volunteer deposit in the registration cost. Remember that the deposit is refundable after parent/guardian required volunteer hours are completed (see below).

Saturday, 05 November 2011 at the McGillis School (668 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, UT) 10:00-1:00 (enter on the north end of the building from 1300 East) Rental day and uniform pickup (NO REGISTRATION)

Program information and registration is on-line only and must be completed before you come to pick up uniforms or rentals.

• Please go to the TUNA website for program and registration details www.utahnordic.com/programs/registration
• Payment can be completed on-line through PayPal or with a check can be mailed to TUNA to the address below.
• Please register ASAP so that we can have a good count of folks the morning of the rental day.
• The programs will fill-up and be capped so register soon.
• Register by 31 October 2011 and receive a free TUNA T-shirt.

Rental day and Uniform pickup

• Saturday, 05 November 2011 at the McGillis School (668 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, UT) 10:00-12:00
• A second/alternative date will be determined and e-mailed later
• You must have registered on-line prior to the 5th as registration will not be performed at the rental day.
• Please bring cash or a check for rentals.
• The rental pool is limited and is based on a first come first serve basis.
• The uniform pool also is limited and we hope to be replacing the uniforms in the coming year or so.
• There will be information booths for program information, volunteer opportunities and volunteer sign-up.
• TUNA membership cards and Mtn. Dell passes can also be picked up.

Volunteer requirements:

• Any program – we need help on the rental day (an opportunity for five of you to get your volunteering done soon). We need someone to coordinate Mtn Dell Greeting. We need someone to track program volunteers (these are both nice and warm volunteer opportunities that can be done from home). • Learn to Ski – all parents are required to be available during the lessons to help out as needed. Specifically we need instructors, snacks, on-snow directors, etc. E-mail Matt Johnson, matthewperryjohnson [at] gmail [dot] com for information and to volunteer.
• Salt Lake Nordic Ski Team (Youth League and X-Team have a $50 refundable deposit included in the registration fee) – 6 hours of volunteer required for deposit refund. Volunteer opportunities available on- or off-snow. What we really need is a volunteer to volunteer to be the coordinator for the volunteers. Stop by the volunteer booth during rental day. Otherwise someone will be contacting you later and all the good positions will be filled.
• Competition Team Programs ($250 refundable deposit included in the registration fee. 15-hours of volunteer required. Stop by the volunteer booth during rental day). In addition, all parents are required to spend one day as a Mtn Dell Greeter) or someone can sign up to coordinate that.

Online Registration Instructions

1. Log in to the TUNA website. If you can't remember your password, use the 'Request new password' link on the home page. If you don't have an account, use the 'Create new account' link
2. If you have not renewed your membership for the 2010-2011 season, visit www.utahnordic.com/membership and add a membership to your cart first.
3. Find the program that you want to register for, then click the "add to cart" button. See all available TUNA programs at www.utahnordic.com/programs.
4. Fill out the registration form as prompted, then click the button at the bottom of the form. Repeat for each person you are registering
5. Complete the checkout process.
6. To print your invoice: Click the "View your current order status" link, then click the 'Click to open a window with a printable invoice' link and print a copy of your invoice. You can return to your order again by going to 'My account > Orders'
7. Bring with you: a printed copy of your invoice, and a check to pay for equipment rental (if you are renting)
