TUNA Comp Team Summer Dryland Training
The TUNA Salt Lake Nordic Ski Team offers dryland and on-snow training opportunities for 14-19 year old competitive skiers interested in a part-time (3days/week) or full time (6days/week) training schedule. Training activities will be carried out with the TUNA U14/U16/U18 Comp Team.
Summer dryland training for Comp Team junior Nordic skiers age 14-19 will begin on the first week of May. Practices typically begin at 8:00am and vary in duration depending on the workout, but often in total last 2 to 4 hours. Dryland training will be held each day at various training sites in the Salt Lake/Park City areas and will include running, rollerskiing, biking, strength, hiking, and other training exercises. Athletes will work with coaches to develop an appropriate training schedule tailored to fit each athlete's needs. The program is designed to develop aerobic fitness, ski technique, and prepare skiers for the upcoming race season.
