Just when you thought it was over High up on pink pine, between the Red, White, and not so blue sky, Trachenberg and I took a shot and found some delightful snow in the thick pines. Now maybe I'll put 'em away??? |

Grooming most likely done for the season. Unless we are surprised by an unexpected late big dump between now and March 18th, grooming at Mtn Dell is done for the season. Although there is not enough snow to groom, you may find some early morning crust skiing or light touring. |

m.Dell is melting just checked the m. Dell - classic melted to grass, skating is challenging - many areas where you have to go around big patches of grass and asphalt. |

Groomed - ski it while you can Main, Mitten, Lollipop, Kids Cutoff, and Lower (to first cutoff) groomed this morning for skate. Major meltoffs occurred Sunday afternoon but coverage still excellent on Main. Other loops have thin spots which may melt out today despite shoveling of course. Icy hardpack prevented resetting of classic track. Classic tracks are on most spots of the course but mostly ice. |

Groom Report for Sunday (3/4) Main, Mitten,Kids Cutoff, Lollipop, Creek Loop, and Lower Loop to the cutoff have been groomed for skate and classic. Much of the existing classic track was left. Attempts to reset it, did not produce track as good as what was already there. Skiing should be good early, but the course will likely get sloppy as the temperature increases tomorrow. |

Mtn. Dell schedule As per our contract with the City we expect to close Mtn. Dell operations on Mar. 18. Given our lackluster winter at least the skiing is good now and the grooming crew will be out daily if the weather permits. Yesterday was an epic groom for the characters we call Hammer and Festus BUT for the first time this year the entire track got touched with the exception of creek bridge and Wiggle. The lower loop below the lower cutoff was sled packed but it's too soft unless you want an adventure. We'll see what this warm weather brings but our priorities are to maintain the main, mitten, kid's cutoff, and lollipop as long as we can. The new creek lollipop (no bridge section) is next and the lower should be good to the first (a.k.a. Cullen's) cutoff - below Cullen's the weather gods will dictate what we can do with the projected warm temps. If the start/finish lakes reappear and freeze we should cook salmon and play hockey or broomball. It's sadly a short season so ski when you can. |

belated morning conditions Groomed Main, Mitten, Kid's Kutoff, Lollipop for skate and classic. Corduroy only on: Lower Down to driving range gate (Cullen's cutoff) & Creek "lollipop" with MUCH elk damage, snow scraoed off to ground. Lower and Creek not recommended due to rough and soft snow. |

A little soft, nice skating, better classic. 5 inches or so of new snow overnight. Everything except below Cullen's Cutoff has been groomed for skate and classic. From Cullen's Cutoff to lowest cutoff has been rolled and can be skated but coverage is thin and conditions are soft. |

Excellent Condiitons at Mtn Dell Main, Mitten, Kids Cutoff and Lollipop groomed this morning for skate and classic. 4"+ of cold snow landed overnight which really freshened things up. More snow expected and as of 8 am intermittent flurries were occurring. This wont last so get it while its good. |

Bill & Marko groomed this morning Mtn. Dell should have good skiing until the storm hits tonight - classic will be hard to wax for since there is fresh snow, some ice, and some thin spots with grass poking through but skate skiing should be quite good. Main, kids cutoff and lollipop will be the best skiing - the Mitten is a bit thin in spots. |
