Yurt rental rates and reservation priority are based on three categories: Active TUNA members who have participated in yurt maintenance in the past year; Active TUNA members, and Non-Members.
Active TUNA members who have participated in yurt maintenance in the past year: $50.00 per night on weekends and holidays, and $25.00 per night weekdays.
Active TUNA members: $70.00 per night on weekends and holidays, $35.00 per night on week days.
Non-members: $110.00 per night on weekends and holidays, and $55.00 per night on weekdays.
Yurt reservations are made by contacting Greg Adams at yurt [at] utahnordic [dot] com for available dates. Once you have your preferred date a payment must be made online via the TUNA website at www.utahnordic.com/catalog/yurt. Until that payment is made in full and the payment confirmed, the registration is confirmed. If another party requests the same date and makes payment, their reservation will be honored.
Active TUNA members who have participated in yurt maintenance in the past year are given reservation priority and are able to reserve one winter weekend beginning at the time of the Fall work trip. After these members reservation requests have been accommodated, we accept reservation requests from active TUNA members. This is usually early to mid-October. We begin accepting reservation requests from non-members Dec 1.
Yurt Cancellation Policy
Because of the tremendous demand for winter yurt reservations we do not offer guaranteed refunds. If you reserve a winter weekend night, you have prevented several other people from using the yurt that night. Thus, before making a reservation please be sure you are able to use the yurt for those dates. If unforeseen circumstances arise and you are unable to use your reservation, we will attempt to fill that weekend; if we are successful we will refund your payment (less a transaction of 5% that we incur for our online payments). We can offer refunds for cancelled summer reservations. However, since making reservations and refunding payments requires work by TUNA volunteers, we ask that you be committed to use the yurt prior to making a reservation.
To request a cancellation, Greg Adams, the current yurt director, must be notified. Greg can be contacted via e-mail at yurt [at] utahnordic [dot] com. Once notification is accepted and the refund amount determined the TUNA Treasurer will issue a refund.
